John W. Stryker
John W. Stryker has been a resident of the Virgin Islands since 1981.
His legal practice is limited to the areas of real estate, trusts & estates and small business matters. Real estate matters include representation of buyers, sellers, borrowers, lenders, landlords and tenants and issuing title insurance.
Trusts & estate matters include preparation of estate plans based on family trusts, along with wills, living wills and durable powers of attorney. Business matters include small business formation, representation and counseling, qualification and requirements to do business in the United States Virgin Islands, formation of Virgin Island corporations, limited liability companies and partnerships and the preparation of contracts, notes and mortgages.

- Education: Rutgers University (J.D., 1973); Lehigh University (B.A., 1969).
- Experience: John began his law career in California in 1973 before moving to St. Thomas in 1981. His experience spans the gamut from in-house counsel in the real estate department at Wells Fargo Bank in San Francisco to representing death row prisoners at San Quentin Prison on appeals and lifers at parole hearings at the prison. Although he has substantial litigation experience, including both civil and criminal jury trials, his focus is now on keeping his clients and his clients' heirs and families out of court.
